Members shared deeply mixed experiences with Lyrica for fibromyalgia pain, with responses ranging from life-changing relief to severe side effects that required hospitalization. Several members described significant benefits when the dosage was right, including better sleep and reduced pain, while many others reported problematic side effects such as substantial weight gain (10-60 pounds), severe brain fog and concentration issues, leg swelling, mood changes, vision problems, and dangerous withdrawal symptoms that required slow weaning over months. A recurring theme was that fibromyalgia treatment remains frustratingly trial-and-error, with members encouraging the original poster to try Lyrica cautiously while staying alert to side effects, and many sharing alternative approaches including Cymbalta, gabapentin, tramadol, CBD oil, and lidocaine infusions that worked better for their individual bodies.

Cymbalta works really well for me and no conflict with cannabis.

I was prescribed Lyrica a number of years ago but after googling all the side effects decided not to fill the prescription. I am very sensitive to prescription medications - doesn't matter what they are, so must be very careful what I take I was surprised that my elderly doctor would even have given me the prescription in the first place - knowing my reaction to meds. I use Aleve if necessary for pain + my TENS machine and cold packs. Of course everyone is different re meds . . . .

No luck with Lyrica I personally think it’s a waste of time.
I was speaking to an emergency doctor one day he says a lot of people don’t find it useful

I’m on CBD morning & THC at night it’s helping me relax and sleep better at night. Tried Lyrica years back did not like how it made me feel.
Hope you get something that works for you soon.🤗
