I’ve had muscle twitches for the past 6+ months now- sometimes they are really severe but for the most part they’re just little twitches here and there. I got freaked out today because I had a twitch at the base of my right index finger that caused my whole finger to jerk back and forth really fast. Has anyone else had this? It only lasted about 3 seconds but it really freaked me out. Any help/ insight is appreciated.

Members widely validated the experience of having sudden finger twitches and muscle jerks, with many sharing that they too have experienced similar episodes in their fingers, thumbs, legs, and arms that can range from brief and mild to severe and uncomfortable. Several members found relief through practical strategies including taking magnesium supplements (either orally at 500mg daily or as a topical cream), using clonazepam for calming the twitches, and staying physically active through exercise and movement, which many agreed helps reduce the frequency and severity of symptoms. A recurring theme was the anxiety these episodes can trigger, the relief in knowing others share the experience, and the understanding that stress, fatigue, and activity levels all play a role in managing these fibromyalgia-related muscle twitches.
