I use to get it really bad but I been taking fish oil 2x a day and it has helped me. When I questioned if it was helping I went off it and soon found it that it was for my TMJ came back. But not sure if others have had relief with it like I have.
I, too, have TMJ. Along with chiropractic, I also have a mouth retainer that I use to inhibit the clenching and grinding that I do. This all seems to minimize my issues.
Yes it’s a lovely addition to the symptom list of Fibro ☹️
I have tmj have had it for at least 15 years. Getting it diagnosed took forever i remember. Thankfully it calmed down on its own after a few years and hasnt been an issue. I saw a chiropractor for it. I beleve it is related to fibro.
I developed TMJ after fibro. It was caused mainly because I was constantly gritting my teeth from pain and I wasnt aware of it. Once I became aware of what I was doing I would focus on jaw and check if I was clenching it. Also because of a back injury and pain I sleep flat on my stomach with my head twisted to the side. This position can throw the allignment of my jaw out of place. But there is not much i can do about that because its the only way I can now get any sleep.
