Members validated the experience of widespread pelvic pain that feels like cramping throughout the abdomen, lower back, hips, and waist, with many describing sensations like electrical shocks, radiating pain, and feeling like organs are pulling or imploding. Several members shared helpful strategies, including seeing a pelvic pain specialist or gynecologist for manual exams to check for pelvic floor muscle spasms, starting muscle relaxers and pelvic physical therapy, and getting imaging like ultrasounds or CT scans to rule out other issues. A recurring theme was the frustration of being dismissed with explanations like constipation or period cramps before finally receiving a proper diagnosis, and the relief that comes from targeted treatment and learning to manage symptoms day by day.

Check out Pelvic Pain Syndrome. A pelvic pain specialist/gynecologist diagnosed me three months ago. I posted ablut it. They check my bladder, my uterus, my ovaries, they did CT SCAN, ultrasounds, and scoped anything they could srick a camera in with out calling it surgery. After all of that and 6 months of ridiculous pain, and being told it was constipation or period cramps, the gynecologist did a manual exam; placed his fingers in the vagina and felt for the muscles and trigger points, and said I had really hard pelvic floor muscles and they were in full spasm. I couldnt feel the spasms i just felt pain. I had been treated for constipation and was having a hard time going pee or poop, and once this was diagnosed and i started on regular muscle relaxer therapy, pills two to three times a day, plus pelvic physical therapy, I’m not having any issues anymore with the so called abdominal pain. Yes all the time. I even went to get an ultrasound on my ovaries but everything was normal.

Btw the pain felt like my legs and back were connected to my left hip and some force was reaching up through the vagina and trying to rip my hip out. Felt like the whole area was going to implode. If i miss my muscle relaxer dose or am late it starts happening again. Theres some great physical therapy for it and once i can learn to relax the muscles i wont have to take as much medication for it. Hopefully. Good luck to you.
