I was wondering how many of you experience severe bouts of numbness and perceived weakness if you over use your extremities? I'm dealing with some issues regarding my left arm at the moment, and it's driving me absolutely insane because I have a ton of work I have to do!

Numbness was a first symptom for me. The worst is my arms. I think the only period it actually went away since it started 7 years ago was when I was pregnant! A lot of days it's so bad I can't pick up my toddler or even a milk jug. It's an annoying feeling. When it gets bad I try to take a break and relax while stretching a little bit. Gentle hugs.
I think that is what I hate most is the numbness. I can't sit in a bathtub and I need to do more magnesium. Something I forget to take. The numbness is worse than if you sat too long and cut circulation off to a foot or something. This numbness can last for hours on end and is my sign that I am done and need to stop now. Good luck and gentle hugs.

My leg gives out without warning and my hands will lose grip. Since my grandmother actually had ALS, it is a real worry in the back of my mind. But she started by falling over completely and then wasn't able to get back up. Unfortunately since they lived on the Guadalupe River....literally had a house built out of cement that had a boat garage and her boat dock was steps from her front door, she fell into the river one day and was there all day until my grandfather returned. Luckily she fell on the side where he kept a huge log chained up for the kids to dive off so she had something to hang on to. It took 8 years for her to get diagnosed back in the 1950-60s. We are lucky they can find it now with blood tests.
