Marwyn, if you were asking about ultrasound, it's a small handheld type of wand that has a roller kind of like the roll on deodorants is the best I can describe it, they place a gel on the injured/painful area then place the ultrasound machine on gel and move it in circular movements which brings warmth/oxygen to the area to help with healing, no pain involved.. As for tens machine I bought mine from my physiotherapist(in Ontario Canada) it kind of resembles the old hand held transistor radios, comes with wiring one part goes into machine and the other end has patches(electrodes) that you place over the affected area, start turning dials slowly to an acceptable level to start and increase level as needed. I highly recommend seeing a physio therapist before buying so you can actually use it and get advice on where to place them. You can go on Internet and check out my model of tens machine TENS TS-1211. I carry mine in my purse so it's always ready to use wherever I go. Hope you find this helpful, let me know if you have any questions that I can help you with
@A MyFibroTeam Member yes I do ultrasound therapy and it helps me. The ultrasound brings oxygen to the area that is painful also my physio therapists uses a tens machine and moist heat which helps relax damaged/painful area
I've been looking into ultrasound but couldn't find a lot of information on it. I know the cheapest machine I could find in the UK was over £100. I've just bought a tens machine though today and although it doesn't get rid of my pain it defiantly helps to distract from it.
@A MyFibroTeam Member you are very welcome
