Does anyone have constant pain in their achilles heel and know of anything that helps. Stretching is making no difference πŸ€”

Try massaging your calf muscle above the tendon - if it's too difficult using your own hands/thumbs then try using a tennis or golf ball. Just sit on your bed with your legs stretched out in front of you and place you calf on the ball of choice and let the weight of your leg help soften and release the muscle.

You should only to do this as you can tolerate and you might have to build up time - so don't hurt yourself. Move the ball in different places around the calf. Don't leave it in just one spot. Often it's the muscle that's tight pulling on the tendon - true of most parts of the body.

Orthotics & properly fitted shoes from a Chiropodist or Pedorthist helps. Also Epsom salts soaks. I also have Tension socks prescribed.
Pain rub or Spray as needed too!

I agree with MJ on this I use it for my feet as well and my ankle I do get a problem that goes up to my calf with my ankle my achilles to be exact sorry. After awhile you should be able to do it with your hands at least I have been able to when you've loosened up the muscle. Even if I don't feel it I stay on that cuz that has come back a few times but even if your feet are tight use this tennis ball it's really good and you can do it while you're sitting. Good luck Theresa
