Members connected over experiencing scary cardiovascular symptoms alongside fibromyalgia, including low blood pressure, dizziness, rapid pulse, heart pounding, and nausea, with many validating that these symptoms are real and common in the community. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them manage these episodes, most notably staying consistently hydrated by keeping water nearby at all times, eating small snacks throughout the day to stabilize blood sugar, and asking doctors to check for iron deficiency, vitamin D, and B12 levels. A recurring theme was the frustration of having symptoms dismissed as just part of fibro when they feel genuinely alarming, the overlap with conditions like POTS and vasovagal syncope, and the importance of advocating for proper cardiac follow-up while also addressing basic self-care needs like hydration and nutrition.

I have had intermittent POTS symptoms. POTS is postural orthostatic tachycardia. It's a form of dysautonomia, which many believe fibromyalgia to be as well. So they can overlap.

One thing I learned about fibro is staying hydrated. Ever so often I feel like that and realize I have not drank water or even ate. Too busy just trying to get stuff done. I don't know but hope the suggestion helps.

I'm so sorry beaburg for what you're going thru. I'm praying it is not super serious. It's fascinating how so many symptoms can be experienced with fibro. I have had crushing pain in my chest wall thinking it was my heart failing me. Rush to the doctor he says "it's not your heart " . Come to find out it's a symptom of costocondritis an inflamation of the chest wall. Oh boy yet another pain.

I have had an irregular heartbeat since around the same time that the fibro showed up. I asked my cardiologist if fibro could be the cause of it and he said no. Our hearts are muscles so i really.dont believe him. Lol. I hope they figure it out for you. Hugs

Yes I have low blood pressure and dizzy spells everytime I Lay down I spin out till I sort my head out.

Also heart palpitations as well at times and out of breath if I over excert myself as well.

Get the Doctor to check your Blood for Iron deficiency anaemia as well, I take iron tablets every day, you could also need Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 as well.

Also agree with @A MyFibroTeam Member stay hydrated and make sure you eat even if it is only small snacks throughout the day to keep your blood sugar levels up.

If you are worried always seek help from a Medical Professional.

Blessings Healing Hugs
