Members collectively validated the confusing experience of rapid temperature swings, with many describing cycles of feeling intensely hot one moment and freezing the next, often removing and replacing layers repeatedly throughout the day and night. Several members pointed to multiple overlapping causes, including fibromyalgia's impact on the central nervous system, menopause (which fibromyalgia can intensify), and anxiety, with some experiencing visible symptoms like facial flushing, profuse sweating, or purple fingers from extreme cold. A recurring theme was the frustration of navigating these symptoms largely alone, as many felt their doctors offered little support or solutions, leaving them to manage the unpredictable swings without clear answers.

I am so glad I am not alone with hot and cold sweats. If you go to your GP there is nothing they can do. This is when I feel sad that I have to fight this fibro, menopause on my own.

I am actually one or the other all the time: sweating and hot or icy cold. Even my coworkers have noticed as when Im hot I turn red in the face and can have sweat pouring down my face, or im cold and my fingers turn purple and my skin is like ice to the touch.

I thought that too. I have just found out in the last 2yrs I have been going through the change of life. menopause, anxiousness, sweats, and headaches especially tension headaches. I get them all the time.

Me too. At night I get super hot and have to take off the covers. In the morning I am cold.
