Members validated the connection between fibromyalgia flares and various skin reactions, with many describing flushed faces, rashes on soft skin areas like thighs and arms, and red marks that resemble a lupus butterfly rash despite negative lupus tests. Several members identified dietary triggers, particularly gluten and wheat, which caused stinging water blisters, breakouts, and persistent rashes, while others noted that rashes served as an early warning sign of an incoming flare. A recurring theme was the frustration of having visible inflammatory skin symptoms dismissed or misdiagnosed by doctors, with many members finding relief or answers by tracking their diet, vitamin D levels, and seasonal patterns.

I get tiny stinging water blisters when I eat wheat. I also have rashes which I think are from dry skin on my neck and thighs.
