A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

She said it was really bad just by looking at it and the test came back positive for strep and my tonsils were swollen. Some infections take 2 rounds of antibiotics to get rid of. I would go back to a doctor and see what they say. I hope you feel better soon.

I healed my own tonsils without major treatment or surgery.

1. Gargle using warm salt water
2. I reduced my tonsillitis by drinking ginger, garlic, honey juice
3. Swallow honey and lime juice
4. drink loads of water nothing sweet
5. Antibiotics destroy the good bacteria in the stomach so please ensure your are taking regular probiotics every day to replace the good bacteria that are being destroyed.

My adult daughter was constantly having severe strep throat. She had her tonsils taken out (which was a little rough going through it at her age), and she hasn't had one case of strep since. That was about 8 years ago. You may want to check with your doctor about it.

I had something like that about 4 years ago. It felt liked I’d swallowed s golf ball.

First time I went in to the clinic, they said it was viral and they couldn’t give me anything.

Second time, a few days later, it was so bad I couldn’t even swallow my pills and it was hard to breathe.

They gave me antibiotic and prescription Tylenol. I had to take them in liquid form because my throat hurt so much.

I’d say I was sick for a month or more. Finally got better.

I use Tylenol sinus when I start to feel my nose clogging. I find that and a mask made for cold & sinus sufferers that you freeze & wear help keep things from getting worse for me.

I still get a sore throat, but if I catch it early, it doesn’t get too bad and I don’t get strep.

I also use Vick’s Vapor Rub on my chest.

My daughter was in the same situation. A second round of antibiotics was prescribed and with even that took three months to get better. Severe fatigue, enlarged lymph nodes and continuously swollen glands accompanied the strep throat. The white spots gradually, very slowly disappeared.
