Members shared their personal dietary strategies for managing fibromyalgia symptoms, with the most commonly avoided foods being sugar, caffeine, alcohol, gluten, dairy, and heavily processed items. Several members recommended specific approaches like elimination diets, anti-inflammatory eating, the FODMAP diet (particularly avoiding beans, onions, and garlic), and cutting out acidic foods, carbs, and nightshade vegetables. A recurring theme was that cleaner, less processed eating tends to lead to fewer flares and better overall symptom management.

I did an elimination diet, and ended up concluding that gluten and dairy in particular were causing me to flare easier, so I cut them out.

Also my favorite cookbook is called โ€œAgainst all grainโ€ by Danielle Walker. Itโ€™s paleo, but you can accommodate a lot of different diets through her recipes. And her food is so tasty!
