Members confirmed that painful shins and ankles are a common fibromyalgia symptom, with many describing the pain as severe enough to affect balance, require mobility aids like canes, and make everyday tasks difficult. Several members shared practical coping strategies including rest, ice, cool compression sleeves, ankle support sleeves, and being mindful of footwear choices or activities like driving that might trigger flare-ups. A recurring theme was the fluctuating nature of the pain, with members noting it comes and goes unpredictably, often worsens in cold weather, and may be linked to conditions like sciatica, shin splints, or Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Yes mama! It's been unbearable. Nobody understands that it's this bad.
I hope you get better soon.

Yes I get the shin and ankle pain every so often, out of the blue. Sometimes I think it's triggered by certain shoes or boots or after driving.
I also get pain in elbows and wrists so bad at times I cannot put hot water into a cup. Then it all goes for a while!
