I mean... do you schedule it and take lots of pain killers or what... it seems to be disappearing in my marriage and I don't know if I care... (so exhausted and in pain)...

Members opened up about the challenge of maintaining intimacy while managing chronic pain and exhaustion, with many acknowledging the guilt, frustration, and strain it places on their relationships. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them, including open communication with partners about pain levels and limitations, finding positions that work better physically, being honest about needing shorter encounters, timing intimacy for better energy windows, and in some cases taking pain medication beforehand. A recurring theme was the importance of having an understanding and patient partner, giving yourself grace when intimacy feels impossible, and remembering that honesty about your physical reality is far better than forcing yourself through pain or pretending everything is fine.

The constant nagging and feeling guilty because it feels like a chore instead of a fun experience. Yes, position matters! Also, I had to explain to my husband that a quickie for him is all I can do sometimes. It can’t always be a long intimate affair.

Also.... there is never really a tmi question....you will never know the answer if you don't ask the question...

It's really helped me to be open with my husband about how certain positions hurt me or exhaust me. Do what works for you and your partner and listen to your body. Also maybe try some devices that do the work for you. Sorry if this was TMI too

I too experience so much pain and fatigue that intimacy is next to impossible...fortunately I have a wonderful and understanding husband. He was a builder for over 30+ years and has a bad neck and back so he totally understands the pain that I am experiencing. We take turns boosting each other’s morales. Living like this can be very depressing and it is so hard to stay positive. Just have to take life one day (sometimes one moment) at a time.

I have to say no A LOT! My husband is not always happy with me, but it is too hard to get in the mood when you hurt so bad! He is finally starting to understand just how much pain I am in and seems to be supportive, for the most part. Sorry, I can't help you more...
