Members rallied around a prayer request for Lavonne as she underwent a long-awaited hysterectomy, flooding the thread with prayers, well wishes, and expressions of love and support. The community celebrated when an update confirmed the surgery went well, though recovery proved challenging, with members continuing to offer encouragement and several sharing their own hysterectomy experiences, practical recovery tips like elevating feet during rest, and advice about watching for hormonal changes. A recurring theme was the deep bonds of friendship within the community, with many expressing how much they missed Lavonne and felt blessed to be part of such a caring and compassionate group.

I am prayerfully thinking of Lavonne. Surgeries of any kind require faith and prayers. It seems like things out of the ordinary, health or other things, that occur during a holiday season look larger than other times. My hysterectomy was one of the best things I ever did for myself. Of course it was necessary, and for me it was a rough recovery of exactly 3 weeks. Then I woke up one a.m. feeling like a million dollars. I will continue my prayers for Lavonne, for a swift and full recovery. Also sending lots of gentle hugs! And joy in the coming new year.

Just a quick update, I had a brief message from our dear Lavonne today. She said the op went well, but recovery is a bit more challenging.
Lavonne expressed her thanks for the many prayers (see her words below) and said she feels very blessed ❣️

"Please tell everyone THANK YOU SO MUCH for their kind notes and prayers. I love, appreciate and miss them all! β˜ΊοΈπŸ™πŸ»"

@A MyFibroTeam Member Hi, I've not heard from her. I sent her a mail yesterday to wish her a happy new year and to let her know we are continuing to pray for her. I'm sure she will be in touch when she is ready.
