Does anyone get quick or loud breathing or anything which isnt normal. Not sure what causes mine, but usually my breathing is slow and quiet. I sound like I am out of breath when it happens.

Members strongly resonated with experiences of unusual breathing patterns in fibromyalgia, including shortness of breath that occurs randomly even without exertion, heavy or tight chest sensations, sharp chest pains (especially upon waking), and nighttime choking or gasping episodes. Several members shared that these symptoms often worsen during flare-ups or when moving too quickly, with some wondering if conditions like costochondritis, sleep apnea, or throat irritation might be contributing factors. A recurring theme was the profound relief of discovering they were not alone in these frightening experiences, with many finding comfort and validation through the shared stories of the community.

Hey yes I do ,not all the time just randomly , also like my chest feels thick and heavy and hurts when I breath deeply . I just thought it was down to the fact I smoked from about 14 until I was 41 so I’ve not smoked for 6 years . I can get real sharp pains in my chest as well quiet often first thing in he morning or when I wake during the night .

Sometimes I do this as well. It's always amazing to be able to get on the site and find out that things you think you're the only person doing it's not the case. Just seems to make you feel better when you're not the only one.
