Cbd Vs Marijuana
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have any opinions or experience with cbd vs medical Marijuana? I'm looking for alternatives, and these both have popped up several times. When I was younger I tried Marijuana but didn't do well with it, but here was also less education and insight about it in the past as well.

I smoke marijuana everyday. Like you I tried it in my teens and didn’t like it, made me sleepy. Looking back now with more knowledge, I was probably smoking Indica’s, when I should’ve been smoking Sativa’s.
I smoke low THC (3-10%) / High CBD (7-15%) Sativa’s during the daytime and High THC (15% and above) Sativa’s at night and High THC (15% and above) Indica’s before bedtime.
CBD strains are good for relieving pain (15-20% are best) but THC relaxes my mind and body, makes you forget about the pain for a few hours. THC also makes TV and Music more enjoyable.
It may take smoking a few different strains and strengths to find something that you like, so buy the lowest amount you can per strain until you find the right strain.

I have never tried Hemp CBD Oil, but I've had a similar experience as Bloodmoon with medical marijuana, only with mm oils (I don't smoke it). Started out on a combined oil of 20 mg/ml CBD and .97 mg/ml THC for nine months (so mostly CBD). Saw a significant reduction in migraines and anxiety, not so much on the pain relief front, even at a maximum daily dose, it wasn't touching my pain. Doctor recommended I up the THC a bit, apparently for pain relief it is not uncommon to need a bit more THC in the mix. So I reluctantly did (don't like feeling that THC "high"). I am finally getting some serious pain relief. I adjusted in a couple of days to the slight THC increase, no "high" now at all.
I had a not so great experience as a kid too, so believe me, it took a lot of pain and unsuccessful attempts with other meds to get me to try medical marijuana. Once I adjusted, it was just so much easier to be on than the standard FM drugs, at least for me, side effects are minimal and it is the first time I am on something that is actually helping. I really hope it continues to help long term, time will tell.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, when I first started smoking weed, I bought some Godbud#1 which was a 20% CBD strain, 0.03% THC and it sort of highlighted my sore muscles, intensifying the pain. All my weed I smoke now has at least 3% THC, seems to help balance out the benefits of CBD without the muscle soreness, also helps to calm my mind and relax me as well.
As I’ve stated above, keep trying different strains until you find one that works for you.

Worth a try for your pain.
Some days it works for me, others no.
