TFCC Tear Or Ulnar Side Issues In Wrist
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello - I have had chronic ongoing pain in the ulnar side of my left wrist since July. The first time it occurred, I was tucking in my sons bedsheets and the left side of my wrist had a sharp shooting pain. Any pressure such as pushing off a couch, bed or even resting my head on my left hand would hurt. Since July this has occurred two more times. Once In October and now today. I had an MRI of my hand but there was confirmation that not many images were taken of the actual wrist since the… read more

I had bone marrow edema on the hamate and cystic change surrounding lunate and scaphoid but the MRI was for my thumb so the radiologist notated there were not complete images of the wrist to give more detail. I’ve been tested for carpel tunnel. It’s not that. It’s literally only on the left side of my wrist and only happens occasionally and with pressure such as pushing down on my wrist. For example, right now I’d have extreme pain trying to do a push up or pushing myself off the couch with my hands or using my wrists to push myself up onto the kitchen counter to get a plate that was too high for me to reach.

I get blown off by doctors too. They like to throw it all under the same umbrella of fibro. Thanks y'all. I have an issue in right wrist and my hands are what got me to doctor to begin with.

The hand doctor wants to see me again but he doesnt have any appointments until January. So frustrating. Im going to ask if they can at least do the MRI of my wrist this year since I’ve already met my deductible

Have had pain in both hands and use those horrible hand splints. Dropped many of my mugs and plates, running out of dishes. Grip strength varies from day to day, never know when it's going to flare. I do take Glucosamine 750mg twice daily which seems to have helped a bit. Best of luck and Gentle Hugs xxx
