Pelvic Pain

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Stockport, UK

I was diagnosed with endometriosis last year and up until now my pain had been ok, as I've been having injections ever 3 months. But the last few weeks I've really been struggling with pelvic pain. My GP sent me for an ultrasound to check for hernia's, but that came back clear. Is there anything else it could be? Or is it just the endometriosis out of control

Thanks

I get excessive cyclical cysts. During both ovulation and menses. It's brutal! Just today I found spray on Icy Hot, and dousing my back from the kidneys to the underwear line helped, and on the abdomen from the diaphragm to just above the pubic bone. It was the best thing to happen to me all week. I'm going to need to buy stock in it to offset the cost of my purchases 🙃

@A MyFibroTeam Member I had a huge cyst removed too, along with ovaries and Fallopian tubes.
All okay. Good to investigate all avenues. My mom had breast cancer so have those tests too and pap.

I had put pain down to fibromyalgia , thoght it might have been a kidney stone , but I fact it’s a large dermoid ovarian cyst the size of my open hand , please do not panic as often they are not cancer , I’m going in to hospital on 31st to have it removed, and I’m hopeful that it will help remove some of the pain ☺️ I’m 48 so thoght might be menopause
So best bet ask doctor to send you for an internal vaginal ultra sound x hope this helps I feel better now I know what it is , Sore breasts and pain in my left hand side like s digging feeling !

I have PCOS and it was discovered that I also have Adenomyosis (different to endometriosis) The pain can become quite unbearable. You should ask your gynae to check for that. Only real relief if pain meds are not working is a hysterectomy. I think the pain associated with any condition is just amplified by fibro.
Hope you feeling better soon :)
