Obviously Fibromyalgia is very difficult to deal with physically and mentally. But I am wondering if any one has anxiety thinking that you could possibly have cancer or something wrong with your organs (etc.). I know this may be a dumb question, but initially when I was having symptoms I had multiple doctors that said I could have cancer and thats what they were looking for. I had a ct scan and a MRI, about 8 different bloodworks (including many cbc's over the past couple of months), stool… read more

Yes. I feel the same way. I keep thinking it isn't fibromyalgia but something like my diabetes. I also was told I had cancer then after 3 biopsies and a full hysterectomy I was told they couldn't find cancer cells even though originally after the first biopsy I was told there were cells growing at an uncontrollably rapid pace. I feel that being misdiagnosed with cancer caused me to distrust medical professions. I research symptoms a lot. I won't take pharmaceutical medications anymore either. They had me on 15 and the side effects were horrible. None of the meds helped either.
I have had fibro for 30 years and several times i have worried it was something else. You will get to know your symptoms and your body and kniow when it something else. Try not to worry. Easier said than done i know. Anxiety is a normal part of any disease so dont worry about the anxiety. Hang in there and you can ask us any questions about symptoms youre having so you dont freak out thinking its something serious. Of course if you have any pains in your chest ir you think it might be serious, please dont hesitate going to the hospital. Ive been there too many times to count thinking it wasnt fibro only to be told they cant find anything wrong. Its aggravating but its better to be safe than sorry. Hugs
Fibro is a very scary illness and always has us wondering!!! There are soooo many symptoms that it doesn’t seem possible that they can all be related to fibro but in the end, it is the culprit every time!! I think we’ve all worried at one point or another over the years cause after doing all the tests, we think there has to be something else wrong but it’s usually a no! If I had had cancer mentioned to me, I definitely would have been scared but now that you’ve had all the testing, you can now stop worrying which will help the anxiety! As for bones hurting, oh yes!!! It’s usually my muscles that hurt or even veins as it feels like the pain is pulsing through me but in some areas definitely the bones! Areas effected by me are shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, feet and sometimes ribs and chest! I hope we all help you to relax a little and let me say you have definitely come to the right place for help! This site is amazing, it makes you feel normal in our screwed up health world!!! Lol
Yes and yes to your questions many times because of my family history of Cancer I thought I had it but all the tests have been negative. Thankfully because I am a Brca2 gene.
Fibromyalgia covers such a lot of symptoms that many times you always think the worst. Until the test results come back negative.
It's always best to get symptoms that come up that don't seem the normal with your own body. After all we know what is normal for us even with fibromyalgia.
Fibromyalgia also seems to deliver new symptoms or make the one's we already have worse than before.
You have to try and stay Positive and that isn't always easy with fibro fog having depression as well.
After all we are human no one can be happy all the time, but we certainly pretend we are to others.
Blessings to You and Gentle Hugs.

My knees bother me a lot but I have arthritis in them and also my calf bones and the ones in my forearm are the worst with feeling pain down into them. I learned to stay away from Google because fibro symptoms that are googled are almost always some kind of cancer or tumor! I know that over the past year my anxiety has gotten so much worse.
