Has anyone experienced hair loss because a bald spot popped up out of no where? It’s almost like acid was poured onto one spot, it didn’t hurt & I have no idea as to where it went to. It’s the size of a silver dollar

I believe that is called Alopecia Areata.
I started losing hair several months ago. It's in the right front where my bangs meet the side of my hair. Looks like the follicles are completely gone and the hair just falls out. Haven't gone to the Dr for it yet. Lazy I guess! Will need to go soon though. I also have had chronic anemia and autoimmune thyroiditis for years. This could be why. I do take biotin for skin, hair, and nails. I don't think I absorb any minerals or vitamins that are capsule form. They never seem to do anything for me. Been on biotin for 6 months and my hair is still disappearing!
My husband gets that from time to time, eventually fills in. Seems to happen when he’s stressed out.
Lost hair after cutting out grains.
When I started having the GI problems after the fibromyalgia diagnosis I battled anemia too. I started losing my hair. I made diet changes with smoothies supplementing greens and fruits and veggies. I also took Hair and nail supplements. I have my vitamin D , iron and thyroid levels checked regularly. Acidophilus in a high potency has finally got my gut under control and my hair grew back- all grey but at least it came back !
