Members shared their experiences with various muscle relaxers for fibromyalgia, with Tizanidine, Flexeril, and Baclofen emerging as the most commonly used options, each offering different benefits and side effects. Several members described practical medication strategies, including taking Flexeril at 10mg up to three times daily to help loosen muscles, using Tizanidine primarily for sleep support, and finding Baclofen effective for both muscle pain and anxiety while still allowing daily functioning. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of finding the right medication, with members noting important side effects like vivid nightmares from Tizanidine and drowsiness from various options, alongside the emotional journey of accepting fibromyalgia's limitations while seeking relief.

I was happy to get a diagnosis instead of wondering what all of this pain was from. I have fought the reality of it.
The hardest thing for me, was getting to the point where I could accept that Fibromyalgia has limited me how much it has impacted my life.

I like my flexeril. It’s not a miracle pill but helps with some issue. I’ve taken robaxen (sucked), skelaxin (was ok for some types of pain), tizanadine (made me too tired and didn’t work), and then the flexeril. I’m on 10mg up to 3x a day. I start my morning with one everyday hoping it’ll loosen me up.

I only take 4 mg Tizanadine.
Does it knock you out or cause nightmares?
Maybe I'm just not used to it yet because I haven't taken it on a regular basis.
Hope you're holding up well, and are as pain free as possible.
Hugs 🤗🤗🤗💜💜💜

I had posted I take the muscle relaxer Tizanadine because it helps me sleep.
I just realized, while it WAS helping me sleep, it was also causing very vivid lengthy dreams that were not pleasant. I realizes that last week after I had a meltdown one morning. That was when i woke up from dreaming what seemed like ALL night.
I was in a vrry dark place tgat i wasn't sure I'd be able to pull myself out of.

I'm better this week but quite weak and a bit depressed. 😢
