A few months ago I developed severe upper back pain and it hasn't gone away since. It gets worse the longer I stand/sit. I recently got a back brace from amazon to wear at home when it's bad, but I haven't tried it for long enough to see any kind of difference yet.
In addition to the fibro I have osteoarthritis through out my body, (head to toe). I also cant tolerate several pain medications so I feel lucky if my meds will knock the edge off the pain.
Oh, please be very careful if you are taking the tizanidine. I tried it & started having symptoms like I had alzheimers (I couldnt remember how to get home) and then I started having hallucinations...very scary.
God Bless,

@A MyFibroTeam Member i am the same way i am prescribed like a whole one every 4 hours for pain(i also take 10mg hydro) and i dont even take a whole one and never every 4 hours i take a half at a time and i only take when im in pain. I remember feeling that high feeling when i first started them a while back but never do anymore and thats not what im after. And my dr knows that. I dont think i need higher dose and probably never will. Its the only thing that even touches the pain. Hopefully the opioid crisis wont be hard on us.. because of other peoples mistakes when we really need the medicine. And are responsible with it.
I know the opioid crisis has got everybody scared and confused. But. hydrocodone 10mg has helped me tremendously. I was a nurse and I used ti only when I need it. Sometimes I will end up with half a bottle left over and sometimes I need that half plus my regular Rx. If your doctor knows you are responsible and do not use them to get high; they work well. I asked my doctor one time why I never got high off my Rs and he almost never quit laughing at me. When he did, he said the reason I never got high was that I only took it when I was in pain. If you use it as you should; it sometimes is a life saver. God Bless
We are all strong here. With what each of us have to do everyday and keep up we have no choice. I am on my feet most of the day ( just got permission at work with dr note to use a stool when I’m on the computer, but that doesn’t mean I get to use it every day) wish I had the magic pill that could help with your pain. I too have tried ibuprofen,Tylenol, naproxen, flexeril and tizanidine with no help. It does wear a person down day after day, the constant. With out knowing if ,when, any moment it will get worse. We are warriors, no doubt. For me it is good to be here and know I am not alone. 😢
