Does anyone take Tizanidine for their muscle spasms? I was prescribed 4 mg three times a day, but it is too sedative and I end up only take half a pill at night. My pain and muscles are getting more and more sore lately (flare up) and my doc recommended 2mg pills cut in two, so I would be taking 1mg three times a day. Has anyone had relief with this? I already take Lyrica and Tramadol, but by later in the day, my pain is back to a high level.
there is robaxin, baclofen, soma and soma compound. the soma compound is now controlled the others are not. i personally take the robaxin. its the one muscle rellaxer i can take and still function. soma compound is for short term use as the aspirin will tear up your stomach
I take Tizanidine 4 mg at night with my vitamin D & magnesium & Cymbalta. Have your vitamin D & magnesium levels checked.
Most fibro patient's are deficient in them.
I take Tizanadine at night. I came off the Tramadol. It made me feel like a ragdoll. I take turmeric with ginger for pain and nabumetone. Hope they help you.
I really liked when I had Tizanidine. It would help me get some rest during the day for naps or a deeper sleep at night and I would cut them in half or smaller when I didn't want to sleep. My doctor took me off of them for some reason and I really miss it, it was one of the only muscle relaxers to work for me. Although it doesn't "play well" with a lot of other meds. Definitely make sure you know how it interacts if you're prescribed anything new. I was taking it and then my gyno doctor put me on birth control for cramp pain and never warned me, nor did the Pharmacy. The Mango health app on my phone alerted me that those two meds together have caused people to go into shock and comas and even death! I called the pharmacy and they told me not to take them together at all and apologized for catching it. But otherwise I really liked it! Just make sure to read up on the interactions!
Try asking for a muscle relaxer. There is flexeril and another one on the market. They donβt tend to make you sleepy but relieve the cramping.
