Anyone else lose feeling from the knees down to your toes, and your elbow to your tips of your fingers with pins and needles then total numbness with a heaviness because you cannot feel nothing. Sometimes I get it in legs and arms same time, comes with also a jelly feeling, that turns into pins and needles, which then triggers anxiety and confusion, and then they go completely numb, and it is scary knowing you cannot move or touch anything because you will fall over, or drop something, total⦠read more
Unfortunately it is constant for me as well to have pins and needles in arms legs and numbness as well.
Dropping things is normal now it still upsets me sometimes if I drop a plate with food on it Thank God that hasn't happened for awhile.
Neither can I open jars, plastic wrappers, bottle tops, Thankfully my husband opens them up for me. Completely and utterly have absolutely no strength in my arms and hands at all.
At times I can't hardly walk at all.
All the symptoms of Fibromyalgia.

Yeah I use a rollator that converts to a push wheelchair that my husband can push. I also use sticks around the flat, and have a proper wheelchair for day trips out as my legs just can't do it. I was on 800mg x 3 gabapentin daily but they took me off because of the side effects, unfortunately I react badly to medications so limited to what they can use, so on Topiramate but can't go above 100mg or my eyes feel like they are going to explode from pressure feeling. Have allergies and asthma which limited medication too so on zormorph Mst paracetamol Topiramate inbufen gel, and tens machine. Have been pondering on saving for a electric wheelchair or a mobility scooter trying to weigh up pro and cons on both including battery replacement etc. Most of my plates are now replaced with plastic ones, due to keep dropping them and them smashing all over the floor, same with glasses. Mugs seem to be with standing the bashing a bit better. It us frustrating though keep dropping stuff, makes me want to scream at times, that and my memory totally shot to pieces most days. Thanks for replying. Hope you have a good day. Hugs x
I'm so sorry! That's not only painful to endure but also scary! Is it possible it could be side effects from medications? Also maybe maybe sure to drink a lot of water and wear pressure socks to make sure it's not a circulation issue which is common when we can't walk and have to be bed ridden. My prayers are with you and I hope you get completely cured! Btw I just found out about a new cure for fibromyalgia- it's called a hyperbaric chamber and you go into it for 90 minutes 5 times a week, everyone in the study ( done in Israel initially) got either 100% cured or had a significant improvement. Note though that those who only did it for 60 minutes saw less improvement. The treatment is for 2 1/2 months. Most doctors will not do the treatment for fibromyalgia since it is too new and most insurances will not cover it but if you live in Milwaukee then there is a doctor at Shalem Healing who not only does it but charges only $30/ session or there is an option of renting one and doing it at home which honestly is the best way to ensure being able to do it every day since it's so difficult to just even get dressed and make it to the appointment and the cost is almost the same as going to the doctor. Please look into it though and don't just take my word for it just so you know everything and have a doctor's approval. I really hope you get better!
They took me off gabapentin for the side effects, but it did help with that a bit. Because I react badly to medications they put me on Topiramate instead of gabapentin.
All. The. Time. It's constant. I take gabapentin for it. It does help it to become more manageable but it doesn't make it go away completely.
