I still work but in a much reduced physical capacity . I am afraid that if I don’t force myself to get up and out every day I will eventually become totally unable to leave the house. I am lucky that even though it is difficult I still have that choice. I know for a lot of you that choice has been taken away and I am so sorry for you. I fear the day I no longer have that choice. So, I guess my answer is that I will apply for disability when I no longer have a choice.
I ended up on disability 10 years ago....... I lost 3 jobs due to absenteeism... As much I WANTED to work, I just couldn't. Pain, fatigue, and the other ailments Fibro brings on, I had to realize I just couldn't do it. I am better for having left the workforce.

I stopped work cause I couldn’t go an inch further. Wish I’d done it earlier.
Apply for disability now. It takes time, to get approved. Especially if you have been off for 1 1/2 years.
