Hello all
I don't usually get headaches but the last few days my head has been hurting on the front left side all the way down under my left eye. My head has also been itchy. Tonight my head is still hurting in the same place but its now hurting across the center from one side to the other also. Also on top of the itching, it's tingling and having some numbness in spots. I'm getting a little worried and hoping this is not abnormal. Ive seen where people talk about the itching and also the… read more

I get what I call the β€œdreaded pritchies”. Prickling + itching = the dreaded pritchies. My doctor recommended Benedryl but it didn’t work so she suggested Pepcid which is really for heartburn, etc. But darned if it didn’t work - I would have never even thought about trying that - but it really works.
For the numbness - I think you should probably talk to your doctor - just to run it by the doctor to make sure everything is ok.
Good Luck & God Bless! ! !

Hi ZenJai.

I have the same issue with my scalp. Started with itching. Horrible pain and very intense itching continued . As it got worse my hair would fall out. Drove me crazy. My dermatologist kept putting me on prescription shampoos and anti-inflammatory meds. I asked for a biopsy. It came back as frontal fibrosing alopecia and she put me on Prednisone because it is an inflammatory condition. I have gone through different stages over the years of improvement and flareups. I asked for a second biopsy to make sure the diagnosis was correct and it was. The symptoms continue because I am in the process of lowering the Prednidone.

I don't know if this information helps you or if you need to see a dermatologist. I do sympathize with you. It's very uncomfortable. And we have to deal with so much.

Apple cider vinegar will help your itching. Use a quart container and put about an inch of apple cider vinegar in the bottom. Fill the rest with water. Pour it all over your skin after shower or bath. Don't rinse. Just let it soak in.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, I have felt better after following an autoimmune diet. I used the elimination diet in the book The Autoimmune Solution by Amy Myers MD. It does take a month or so for your stomach to heal but it helps you to find out what your body does not like.
