What Happens During Your Flare Up?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

The pain gets worse, my skin starts tingling, constant upset stomach with diarrhea mainly, and I feel overly tired. What happens during your flare up? What signs make you aware that a flare up is coming?

I've always wanted to know about this flare up as mine is constant but just switches places through the body continuously, I guess I'm just use to it now.

My nerves tingle like my limbs fell asleep, my body aches with some specific pain point the have a hot poke to them. From this I get very fatigue, not tired but my limbs feel spent as if I ran a marathon.

When a flare comes for me, my pain gets to be a twelve out of ten, of course I’m exhausted from my body fighting the pain, sometimes my mouth and tongue burn like crazy, bottoms of my feet burn and my sleep is cut short! Always my neck, shoulders, arms and hands are the worst pain but it’s all horrible! My hips hurt like hell, my thighs and calves throb and the outsides of my feet are so painful. Now I’ve started this stomach pain in my abdomen, ribs and my back up by my ribs! Blurred vision, can’t handle too much light or too much noise, sweating or freezing, stiffness and swelling, depression and anger!! Hmmm, I’m sure I’ve left out a lot but I can’t think straight cause I’m in a flare up right now!!!

Bad weather snd stress trigger my flare ups they are much worst now and last longer as the years pass struggling dealing with new issues new symptoms that come and go … I usually have to stay in bed for days until I get any relief
Than I feel behind on everything snd want to do everything I have been cheated out of being able to do
It’s very hard to start a project or plan anything anymore
I never know how I will feel so I try not to plan ahead much
The exhausting fatigue is just unrelenting
Long term Covid 19 symptoms seem similar to fibromyalgia and I think I really got much worst after I had SARS years ago
I actually had a bit of hope the vaccine might help improve my symptoms but no help unfortunately
Perhaps if the find a cure for long term Covid there might be some answers or help for us too
I have no idea if they are connected but it seems like they are at times to me .. I just know I never regained my health back after suffering from SARS which is also a Covid virus
I pray there is a cure one day for all of you
This is a life altering illness that is progressive in my experience
Wishing you all hope and I praise each of you for trying to manage each day the best you can
Your bravery to face this day in and day out is incredible and your positive hope and ability to do the best you can while enduring this so much misunderstood puzzling illness
💜💜💜
