How Many Take Narcotics For Pain? Does It Make Pain/Fibromyalgia Better Or Worse?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

New pain doctor has decided to take me off my percocet that I only take once daily at night for pain so I can sleep. She states that new research has shown that narcotics make Fibromyalgia worse.
Please share your insight.

I started using Fentanyl pain patches and taking Norco years ago because of severe back problems. They relieved that pain and completely remove the pain from fibro flares. I am very grateful to have them available for me.

Talk to her about low dose naltrexone. Studies show that it increases the level of your endorphins and has very few side effects.

There are a few suggestions I have. Ask about naltrexone. Melatonin to help you sleep. Benadryl helps calm the itchy, skin crawling side effects. Naproxen also helps. I have been using a product called pain freeze from Hemp Bombs. It is wonderful. I broke my wrist a little over a year, it bothers me alot. This stuff took all the swelling out of my hands and keeps the pain at a 2. I also use it on my hips which has arthritis and it has calmed it down enough for me to be able to stand and walk without the stiffness. I use it where ever I have pain. I also found it helps heal your bruises faster. My daughter put me on to it. It's pricey but worth it. They carry other products like the oils. I bought some Cbd oil locally and I got a worthless bottle. I kept saying to my daughter how come you get relief and I don't. She explained there are companies that don't have quality products and I apparently got one that takes advantage of people who are in pain. I have other ideas and supplements that you can take that will help your body. Just let me know what else you want to know. Hope your having a somewhat pain free day.
