Hey everyone, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last month and it makes sense now. However some days I’ll feel sick and queasy while not feeling hungry. I’ve seen doctors and they say I seem fine and it might just be related to fibromyalgia, does anyone else feel this way? I’ve also been taking IBS medication for since last month too and it doesn’t seem to be working.. any answers would be great as I feel lifeless some days and it’s hard doing what I need to do.

Members overwhelmingly confirmed that nausea and lack of appetite are common experiences with fibromyalgia, often intertwined with IBS symptoms that don't always respond well to standard medications. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them manage these symptoms, including digestive enzymes, CBD tincture, peppermint tea, dietary changes like eliminating gluten and processed foods, baking soda mixed with water for upset stomach, and eating smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day. A recurring theme was the importance of listening to your body, experimenting to find what works for you personally, and recognizing that fibromyalgia often comes with related conditions that require patience and creative problem-solving.

I have nausea, pain, burning stomach, burning esophagus, everything I eat and drink comes back up including water. This has happened all my life. I have been on Rolaids, tums,Pepcid ac,Prevacid, nexium, some liquid I can’t remember the name, and I have been on famotidine for years up till the present but it doesn’t stop anything it only decreases the burn some. I do baking soda mixed with water for upset/sour/nauseated stomach that a member on here reminded me of because I forgot, and I am allowed tums while on famotidine although another dr. Said no, don’t do that. So I had a ct scan last week of esophagus and stomach no results yet, and I see a gi specialist on July 16. I never feel hungry, I either feel pain or nausea immediately which sends me running for an ensure plus.

Fibro has many relatives. They seems to be co-related, a basic tendency to auto immune dysfunction is what I was told. So bear with it, and get alternative treatments to calm the nerves and anxiety

Yes, it is all part of fibromyalgia. You will find that changing your diet will help. At the very least cut out processed foods. You probably will do better with no gluten. Some also feel better after cutting out dairy, legumes an night shades. If you need any sort of reference, the book, the autoimmune solution by Amy Myers MD is good.
