I did a week of juice cleanses a couple of times and found that it helped release acidic build-up in my joints which made them feel smoother to move and the pain only flares up once in a while during really hot or cold weather. And when I say juice I don't mean fruit from the shop, I mean the kind where you stuff cucumber, celery, kale, spinach, lemon, ginger and so on into a juicing machine at home. I could already feel a big improvement after the first time, but decided to do a second cleanse a few months later to see if it would improve any further, which it did. I read somewhere after I had done the first cleanse that the mixing of cucumber and celery juice creates a potent detoxification for the joints. Tho that is not a very appetising combo on their own, so I mix 1/2 cucumber, 3-4 stalks of celery, 1 pealed lemon, 1 sweet apple and about a thumb sized piece of pealed ginger. I cut the ginger into 2 or 3 and stuff the pieces inside the cucumber and lemon to get more out of it as it doesn't juice well on its own. If you like you can also add a handful of kale or spinach to get in a few more greens. The drink has to be consumed straight away as it starts to loose it nutritional value and goes super bitter if you let it sit.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I’m so glad I read your answer!! Sometimes I feel I’m not trying enough things and think it’s because I’m lazy or something but then I look back at all the things I have tried and realize I’m not going crazy and have given it a fair shot! Now I stick with the only things that help me and don’t always try new things cause it’s just been such a waste of money!! If I try stuff and it doesn’t work for me, I find it sends me downhill emotionally so for now I’ve decided to just stay on what I’m on or do and hope for the best!!

Ive tried cbd oil, hot and cold therapy, diet and lifestyle changes, cbt, light repetative exercise and nothing has helped. I am now going to try accupuncture so i will update when ive had my appointment.

This may sound idiotic, but eating an Indian curry meal every other day keeps me going - I go downhill fast if I go an extra day without. Presumably, it may be the turmeric, but maybe something else in the meal is helping too.
