I am 40 yr old with a recent diagnosis of fibromyalgia. I am wondering if anyone else find themselves to be shaky in the morning? I believe I have had fibromyalgia for more than 13 yrs (I was too embarrassed to bring it up to my doctor until it eas unbearable). I have had this shaky feeling on and off for years. I am wondering if anyone else experience s this?

Members widely confirmed experiencing shakiness with fibromyalgia, describing tremors in their hands and throughout their bodies that occur primarily in the morning but can happen at any time of day. Several members shared practical coping strategies, including waiting until the shaking subsides before starting tasks, taking supplements like magnesium and potassium, and distinguishing this symptom from medication side effects or blood sugar issues. A recurring theme was the frustration and embarrassment of visible tremors during daily activities like eating, holding objects, or performing tasks at work, balanced by relief in finding others who truly understand this isolating experience.

It is definitely not low blood sugar, I can see why it sounds that way, but it truly isnt.
MarjoWilson mine is primarily on the morning but I do get it at other times.

CheriCrosson thank you

Taccarro that sounds really scary, I am sorry you have to go through that!

VeraBalogh I have also had that issue with sertaline! This morning I had zero shakiness and i am grateful. It is nice to meet other people with similar issues!

I also have an essential tremor bit its at all/any time of the day or nite. Sounds maybe like low blood sugar.

My shakiness started when I was off all of my medications because I was breast feeding so I know my shakiness is not a side effect of any of the meds I am on. But I Am sure some meds can cause shakiness. Some days are worse than others with my shakiness and weak at the knees feeling. Some days I feel like I am vibrating from the inside out. Some days I barely notice it

I have some trembling in my hands and in my legs, too, sometime. It was a side effect of a drug. I don't take the drug anymore but tardive dyskinesia can stick around. That's the name of drug induced condition that I have. Fortunately it's not more serious.

I also feel very shaky every morning and through out the day. I am a nurse and my hands shake when I try to start an IV or draw blood and it is super embarrassing. I have had fibromyalgia for 4 years now and the shakiness just started this year. I have found this supplement called “Greens” from It Works. It has magnesium and potassium and it really helps my shakiness go away for about 8 hours
