Listen to your gut feelings and don't do it if you are scared of it. She's aiming to get money for it and it is not a common treatment nor anything you need to do. Especially don't do it if you have no idea if you would have an allergic reaction. Talk to your doc about lowering pain to a functional 30% or so. Moderate excercize daily (even walking)to stregnthen the body reduces pain if you don't overdo it, and if you do you build muscle. "If you don't know what to say to people in an uncomfortable situation just say things like not today or I'll think about it or that is not for me. ๐ธ๐ผ๐ธ
Bee stings with people who have fibro, MS and other neurological disorders it can be dangerous allergic or not. Are body's overreact to bee, bug bites stings. I am allergic to bees but my doctor told me how dangerous bites and stings are for people with neurological problems I got stung 3 x last summer and was put on antibiotics. It took me 2 weeks too feel better from being stung. I would talk to your doctor before trying it. Best of luck
@A MyFibroTeam Member People accept getting stung by 100 bees??? I hadn't heard of that before! That is something people go to the Emergency room to treat!!! I got stung once and did everything I could to get the severe pain from that one bee reduced which was very painful for what seemed the rest of the day. Honestly I would be inclined to tell off the person giving that kind of offer or say "Go sting yourself!" ๐ The Mayo clinic says even if a person is NOT allergic: If you get stung more than a dozen times, the accumulation of venom may induce a toxic reaction and make you feel quite sick. Signs and symptoms include:
Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
Headache
A feeling of spinning (vertigo)
Convulsions
Fever
Dizziness or fainting
I think I will stick with my other treatments lol.
Ive known of it for years but it is highly contraversal within the medical community.
I wouldn't do it myself, it is just to risky do to my family history.
