Members shared their creative strategies for remembering to pay bills, with the most popular solutions being setting up automatic payments or direct debits through their bank to eliminate the risk of late fees and credit damage. Several members described organizational systems that work for them, including Google Calendar with reminders, physical planners with color-coded sticky notes, and handwritten budget books that list due dates on the inside cover for quick reference. A recurring theme was the importance of finding what works for your brain, whether that's digital alerts, visual cues, or enlisting help from family members or insurance-covered home health attendants when fibro fog or family demands make it too hard to manage alone.

I write down a budget in a book with the due dates of everything on the inside of the cover so I can always check when they’re due! I pull out my budget every Friday when we get paid and pay what needs to be paid that week!! Never late cause it’s right in front of me! Sometimes when I sit down every three or four months to write out my budget, I have trouble remembering but then it’s right there for me on the inside page to see! I would be lost without this system!

I have done this and was without electricity for a day and a half. I was so disappointed with myself to put my family in that position. I have a home health attendant that my insurance pays for to help with bills and cooking when I am unable to. That helps me alot

I write everything down on the calendar and make sure I look at it a few times a day. Hugs and Prayers

I set all dates on my phone to ring me ahead and on time for things I need to remember as well as do some autopay.
