Both are antidepressants and my doctor took me off the welbutrin, before putting me on Cymbalta! As she said that the mix can cause some unpleasant side effects!

Same here, just in reverse!! While I am not a doctor I have never heard of both being used at the same time. That’s not to say it’s not ok but you might want to ask another doctor just to be safe!! Good luck!!

I was on both for several years & my doctor regularly went over my meds with a clinical pharmacist whom she consulted with just to make sure her patients weren't on meds that would cause problems: this was all at a Kaiser Permanente office. I didn't notice anything in particular, but then again, I'm a mess and can hardly ever tell what symptom is caused by which Auto Immune D/O I have. I'm not on Cymbalta anymore.
