Members connected over the shared experience of chronic migraines worsening significantly after their fibromyalgia diagnosis, with many describing constant, evolving headaches despite normal CT scans, MRIs, and EEGs. Several members shared treatments they have tried, including Amitriptyline for daily prevention, Maxalt for acute attacks, steroid and narcotic combinations to break multi-day migraines, staying hydrated, and one member's friend finding relief through a daith piercing on the side where migraines occurred. A recurring theme was the frustration of feeling like a guinea pig trying countless medications without long-term success, the reassurance of not being alone in this invisible struggle, and the importance of connecting with specialists and support communities who understand the fibro-migraine connection.

I have a friend that had a daith piercing on the side of her head where the majority of her migraines were focused. She has been headache free on her right side since the piercing. She’s had other headaches on her left side, but nothing as excruciating as the right side. HOwever, she plans to get a daith piercing on the left side, too. She did a lot of research and found that it has helped lots of migraine sufferers. Me? I drink water as a migraine is an indication that I’m dehydrated. I hope this information helps. L

There is a great Facebook page called: New chronic migraine support group. It's very helpful. Many of the people have fibro also.

I'm currently on Amitriptylilyne which is used to treat migraines only been on it for a week. Essentially its an anti depressant and nerve medication which also is supposed to help with he fibro and depression. My migraines have been evolving daily I've always had headaches but since the fibro it seems they took to a whole new level. Is there any suggestions about what I can do during the day with these attacks without medication aside from what I take?

I just got on here to search the same thing. Im on day 4 of a debilitating migraine/headache. New to Fibro and was unsure if this is a symptom. MRI and CT show nothing. Which is a relief but, I swear there is a new pain every day with this 😖 hope you feel better soon and know that you are not alone.
