My question for the evening...anyone have “brisk” reflexes on one side? I got a little nervous today when my PT did my left and arm reflexes and she noted my left bicep reflex to be more brisk than the other side. Uneven reflexes scares me. I had my doctor check them last week and he didn’t mention anything. The neurologist checked them 3 weeks ago and nothing. Maybe she just tapped a little harder on that side. I hear checking reflexes can be subjective unless it’s super noticeable like your… read more
I do in my knees ,had six operations, the last 2 resulting in the removal of my knee caps.No knee replacements back then i wasca teen.So i have no knee caps and terrible arthritis now.
I have hyper-reflexes I'm both arms, wrists, knees, & feet. Doc said it can be caused by chronic pain in those areas or sign of MS. I had Brain MRI & don't have MS so for me it's just another fun thing that Fibromyalgia has given me. UGH!!
I experience the same thing!
Yes! I have poor deep reflex deep vein checked by consultants. Periodic Paralysis attacks after sleep nearly every day. After that: involuntary jerks all over body. 12 months since i lost mobility. Myopathies in both biceps now- crept round my body this year.now in every major muscle. Full myoclonic body jerks after attacks.
Problem falling to sleep- im not sure if this is a Fibro cond. But my consultant seems to think so. The body jerks also happen falling to sleep. Ive numb skin patches all over my body. Deep reflexes affected 10 years ago. It IS FRIGHTENING Linda. But if u can still move- do it. Try dancing, its less tedious than trying to do physio or exercise. Stay supple. Rinse after shower with magnesium salts.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I guess what worries me is only my left arm was brisk. Everything else was normal. I’ve heard uneven brisk reflexes is more unusual. 😕
