Hemorrhoids?😣
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

You guys have been so helpful with my questions so I thought I’d ask you guys for guidance. TMI Alert! So today after I went to the restroom (bowel movement) I wiped and bright red blood was present. The thing is now every time I go to the restroom (urinate) and wipe myself there is still blood from my rectal area. I’m freaking out. Anyone experience this? I know my husband has but us ladies need to wipe more often so I thought I’d ask you all. Thanks!

Oh the joys of health issues and having to talk about things ya never thought ya would talk about. Lol. Yes i have! I had this problem and just left it for a while, figured since I have irrritable bowel syndrome i was just going through a consitipated fase and must have torn a little down there and it would come right. It didnt come right!!!! Eventually i had a big hemorrhoid and had to go to drs and get creams and stuff and it took ages to heal and was so incredibly painful! I now have cream that i can use if i see blood. I would go to the the drs or try getting a hemorrhoid cream from the pharmacy.

Of course! It’s always easier when you have someone to express your fears and frustrations. I too have a love hate relationship with doctors. I’ve spent thousands since 2016 trying to figure out what’s wrong with me. I have such bad health anxiety that I worry every day and that’s no way to live. By the way, I don’t have any pain where my liver is but yet the fatty liver is there. Apparently you can have it and not know it. Just need to clean up my diet.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, could've been, no polyps when I had a scope 2 years ago, although I have chronic anemia, and the Dr's have tested everything for years to try to figure out why! My cancer Dr said he believed it to anemia due to chronic autoimmune illness. ( FM/CFS, Hashimotos thyroiditis). Still watching in case I get any more bleeding!

The good news is that it’s bright red. Could be a tear so every time you pass stools you open up the wound again. See you doctor and he will do a simple test for you, if it’s a tear he will give you an ointment.

Thank you ladies for your responses! The bleeding stopped the next day. I had my gastro check and he didn’t see anything but I’ll have a colonoscopy at the end of the month anyway. But so far so good.
