I have been on 4.5mg ldn for a little over a year now and it has certainly helped with pain, fatigue and sleep. It did take about 4 months to get a good benefit but it is my primary medication for fibromyalgia. Also, it is best taken away from food, at night and with vitamin d. I don't have any side effects now but early on I had headaches for a few days, nausea, insomnia and very vivid (sometimes frightening) dreams. I still have flares on occasion and I still am not restored to my previous life but I am stabilizing instead of spiraling. Hope this helps!
