Hi Ladies... I had a friend with symptoms the same as you guys, especially like KRU describes "skin hurts so bad". She was diagnosed with Shingles. They caught it early, took the medicine and went away. (sounds like you might have a minor outbreak of that - I would look into it)
i began breaking out with itchy red rashes about three years ago...sometimes big whelps, some times little pin prick size, but all itched like crazy. Allergist and dermatologist could not determine why. Reading the cautions on my metformin one day I discovered about 3% have a reaction called Uticaria...red itchy rash...doctor changed me to another medication and the rashes went away....I'd taken metformin alone and in combination with other drugs for years, no problem. But developed this allergy some time after manufacturers reportedly changed the generic formula. Read all the info on your meds to see if others have reported any reactions rash and itching!
I get all kinds of red dots some itchy, some like a pimple but you cant pop it, ingrown hair follicules a lot, and some little flat red dots that dont itch and dont go away.... Crazy skin stuff the ingrown hair follicules used to get so big and painful almost abcessed but about 10 years ago I started taking minocycline and the abcessed hair follicules and abcessed like acne went away with it
I break out in a rash 2 to 3 times a year. The doctors have never found a good reason why. It usually stays a week or two and goes away. It's always very itchy too. Drives me nuts sometimes.
Careful with that. I had severe dry mouth and major memory loss years ago. Please please use with caution ok?
Hugs!
