Before my diagnosis I went to a TMJ clinic thinking that may be my issue as the jaw, ear, neck, head and shoulder pain I have is the worse pain I experience. After X-rays and examination he explained I do not have tmj as there is nothing wrong with my joints but my muscles do seem to react to pressure and explained it is more tmd since my pain is more associated with the muscles and ligaments. I paid for a special orthotic that prevents me from clenching at night. While it is helpful the most relief I have experienced has been when I started Cymbalta. It has helped my muscles relax and controls my anxiety. I also do nightly heat on my shoulders, upper back, and neck and this helps keep my muscles loose before bed. Yoga has also helped keep everything stretched and I use a roller on my back to stretch the muscles. As long as I can keep my shoulder, and back muscles from tightening I do not experience the neck muscles tightening and the jaw/head pain.

I spoke to a Rheumatologist. She said that it's the muscles around the jaw that's aching. She said that it is part of fibro

I get jaw/neck pain when I clench my teeth at night. I wake up with multiple tooth aches, but nothing wrong with teeth, just due to the pressure of clenching or grinding my teeth.

I think you should get this checked out at a hospital. Jaw pain can be associated with heart attacks. My doctor told me to go to the hospital Accident and Emergency when I suffered jaw pain. I wouldn't think this has anything to do with fibromyalgia.
