Salem, OR

Has anyone in Firbroland experienced piercing / shooting pain in their eye or eye socket? I am getting piercing pain (occasional) that causes my eyes to water - it is incredibly painful.

Members shared their experiences with piercing eye pain, with many describing similar sensations including sharp, shooting pains that cause watering, sensitivity to touch, and pain radiating from the eye socket to the back of the head. Several members offered possible explanations and practical guidance, including migraines (particularly ice pick headaches), occipital nerve pain from tight neck muscles, allergies, and the importance of seeing an ophthalmologist to rule out serious issues like optic nerve problems. A recurring theme was the frustration of fibromyalgia affecting yet another part of the body, balanced with encouragement to advocate for proper eye care and not assume every new symptom is simply fibro without medical evaluation.

I get that sometimes, but to my knowledge it has to do with allergies. But you never know, since Fibro seems to have it's claws into everything.

Please see opthmologist for eye check. My optic nerve atrophied and I had several scans done till she was sure I was OK. In my case I started seeing colors. I saw an entire page of white paper go all bright pink......scared the crap out of me.
