For me cymbalta changed my pain outlook. It was a miracle for me and my fibro. I had some side effects at first but it was such a joy to wake up without muscle pain I just rode them out. I still have chronic low back pain. However, most of the problems I had with fibro are gone now that I have been on the cymbalta. If you haven’t tried it - see if your Dr would recommend. I hope today will be a better day for you. *hugs* Summer
I hope you find a new doctor that will listen to you. Since you have nerve pain, the neurontin will probably really help you. I'm surprised that have not tried it. Please find a doctor and get a new antidepressant. I know how bad you feel. Trust me it can get better. Hang in there and come on here to vent as much as you need to. Big hugs.
Cymbalta changed my life pain 80 % better life changing.... Still have chronic fatigue and can't sleep have takin Ambien for yrs to sleep and still deal with anxiety and depression
Cymbalta was a godsend for me. It stopped all the negative background noise in my head. One day without it and I'm crying like a baby. It really helped me and continues to do so.
Isobel Davidson I sympathise with you 100%. I only continue to work as it is about the only thing that gets me out of bed otherwise I stay there for days on end! I am on oxycodone and other controlled prescription drugs for other things but as soon as I lay down in bed I get pain in my neck and shoulders. Recently my elbows are affected with continuous pain and all down my arms. Sorry this isn’t really helping you is it. I just wanted to let you know I get where you are coming from. I had to persevere with trying different medications and doses before I got on any that helped me so keep going to your Dr. If he doesn’t help try another one until you get one you feel comfortable with. I haven’t heard of the drug you are on so sorry can’t comment. Keep trying as it’s your life and you should be able to live it with a clear mind and pain free. Good luck. Big hugs.
