Members connected over the frustrating and painful experience of biting their tongues and cheeks, with many sharing that it happens most often during sleep, sometimes resulting in waking up with blood or painful ulcers. Several members found relief through dentist-made mouth guards or gum shields, which helped address the underlying issue of teeth grinding and clenching, though one member noted they stopped using a guard after a choking scare. A recurring theme was the realization that daytime jaw clenching and nighttime grinding were often unconscious stress or pain responses, prompting members to seek dental help and find practical solutions.

Yes I feel like I'm clenching my teeth in the middle of the night but usually my tongue is in between them I also find myself clenching my teeth during the day and don't realize it till my jaw starts hurting. I thought maybe it was the pain that was making me do it.
