Ive recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but all the medication the docs keep prescribing are flaring my poriasis up.... anyone had success with meds that dont flare their psoriasis up? Please let me know
Tomatoes and peppers are suppose to be bad for people with fibro. Any veggie in the nightshade family
I don't have psoriasis, i thought I did for a while. I haven't quite figured out whats going on with me and my skin. The doctor says it's just eczema. I had it all through my scalp for a few years. I get it on my face and eyelids. I'm sorry you are going through that. I am pretty sure it's worse than what I get and what I get sucks. I know that when I get really stressed it causes flare ups with my fibro (pain, rashes, exhaustion) and usually I start getting that skin stuff. I started on an anxiety med to keep my stress levels down and so far I've had less flare ups and less severe flare ups. If you have anxiety I wonder if anxiety meds might help. I just noticed my pattern and the anxiety meds seem to have helped my problem quite a bit.
Yeah nightshades are a no no for me and my psoriasis even though i love peppers and potatoes thabk you so much everyone for your advice i will definately take it on board as im so clueless with fibro only dignosed in january with it but had psoriasis since i was 8 years old.
I never have an issue with tomatoes or peppers raw or cooked. I think everybody is different as you see with the bio they have. I have issues with crisps, fizzy juice, lamb, banannas, alcohol, anything with alcohol makes me ill, and so on. And im a scotsman and haggis makes me seriously ill. This has happened since i got fibro i was fine before with all those foods. I see it as only i know how i feel after eating something and fibro is different in every single person.
The problem is you can flare with stress and stress is linked to psoriasis, some people link diet to fibro symptoms and its also said that the mediteranian diet is good for psoriasis, oily fish, tomatoes peppers etc are helpful natural and helpful in both cases. And natural honey on psoriasis areas is one of the best remedies. Its been used since Egyptian times. I hope this helps.
