I am in my early 40's and started through menopause symptoms in my late 30's. Everything I have read saying that menopause so young can be very dangerous for my health.
I was in my 30s when I had to have a total Hysterectomy. The doctor in Germany had to take out everything but left part of an ovary. It seemed to work to regulate my hormones for a few years then started me on a tablet of Estrogen. I'm now 63 and will be 64 June 6 and am receiving a monthly Estrogen Shot. You can stay healthy just have to be very aware if you notice something in your body feels different. They should leave your Cervix intact if its possible and it usually is okay. If you would like to call me for support I would be happy to talk with you
It can be Scary I know. Let me know. Will be praying for you honey.
Yep but lots do, not a fibro thing, but the hormones can make the fibro worse as it tends to see them as a virus so it flares up. Not sure how it can be dangerous for your health.. it's just a natural occurence...
I haven't had a menstrual cycle in 8years
So sorry to hear you are having troubles. Menopause and or Perimenopause can be very difficult with Fibro. Heavy flow , clots, migraines just terrible.
And the sweats and hot flashes or heat waves. I was done at 50. It cause a lot of health problems and some scares.
Yes, I was done by age 48-49. Went one year without period, that is what considered menopause. Average age is 51, I would think anywhere between 45-55 could be considered normal. Lower estrogen level is associated with increased risk for heart disease, osteoporosis - that is what may happen to some after menopause. That could mean "dangerous", but you can try to help to prevent it by exercising (for bones) and keeping yourself not too skinny as fat produces estrogen (as I was told by my doctor). Also, some turns to hormone therapy.
