I've been having pain pretty much directly on my pelvis. It's not around or in my lower abdomen but right there to the left/bottom of my bone.

Went to my Dr's office urgent care and was told I "might" have kidney stones because there was blood in my urine. Nothing came of it.

I went to the ER because it just hurt to the point where I just couldn't get comfortable. They gave me toradall, which actually helped and I got an ultrasound (in and out) plus a CT. Nothing showed.

So I'm making a… read more

Members responded to someone experiencing unexplained pelvic pain and blood in their urine with thoughtful suggestions and shared experiences after initial tests came back inconclusive. Several members who have interstitial cystitis described similar symptoms including sharp pelvic pain, frequent urination, and UTI-like feelings without bacterial infection, with one member explaining that a cystoscopy and hydrodistention surgery were key to getting their diagnosis. A recurring theme was the importance of seeing a specialist like a urologist or gynecologist for persistent symptoms, with members offering encouragement to keep advocating until answers are found and sharing medications like Flexeril that have helped manage their pain.

I also forgot to mention I have had blood in my urine on several occasions. It’s not uncommon with IC.

I have IC Misty and experience pains in and around my pelvis. They can range from dull achy, to sharp severe stabbing pains like that of a kidney stone. See if you can get in with a good uro. Hydrodistention surgery helped determine mine.
I had been suffering with it for a while, but urinating a lot more and having what felt like constant UTI’s. No bacteria on test strip though. Hope this helps!

@A MyFibroTeam Member. I am glad the blood is gone. That can be scary. I hope they get your pain under control. Muscle relaxers would probably help that pain since you said the toradol helped. I think it is a muscle relaxer/pain med. I know it used to help me too when they have me shots. I take Flexeril and it helps my pain most of the time. Good luck. Hugs

@A MyFibroTeam Member no I haven't had anything done yet in regard to IC, I am going to talk to my Dr.

Have you had a cystoscopy? The only way to be truly diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis (I have it)
