My dr said to me that tjere is no such things as fibro flare up and is testing me for lupus?
Any feed back please
ANA panel which looks for antibodies present can identify Lupus or similar diseases which can mimic fibromyalgia symptoms, but are degenerative, unlike Fibromyalgia.
Hi there.
I have sle lupus and fibro..so it's hard for me to tell when one starts and the other one ends. There is specialized testing to find out if you have lupus (blood draw).
Call the new doctor's offices your insurance covers and ask to get a statement on the doctor's experience with fibro and position on the official medically recognised health condition to screen out bad doctors before setting any new doctors as a permanent one. Pick a female if that makes you more comfortible. Be confident and stand up for yourself. 🌹👍🌹
there is very definitely such a thing as fibro flareups! and they can cause u a lot of problems and pain - very often but not exclusively it can be triggered by another illness entirely because we have a compromised immune system we dont get rid of it quickly then it triggers the fibro again and aggravates it, i got a massive flareup after i recently had the flu for five weeks. unfortunately a lot of docs dont even recognise how serious or debilitating fibro can be! have a good look around this site for ideas of how to minimise the effects of such flareups and how to calm them down when they happen maybe?
You can have both. I’ve been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia but some of my symptoms match lupus too, my rheumatologist has explained you can have both, and is further testing for either lupus of arthritis.
