Fiber's definitely not the issue. I'm on a completely plant-based diet (+eggs), so I get plenty from vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.

Mushy stool is an indication you need more fiber in your diet

BM textures and frequencies vary for me. I can have anything from chronic loose stools - to constipation.

Ibs can cause diarrhea and constipation, sometimes all in the same day. I take pain meds so I have to take miralax daily to go to the bathroom every 2 or 3 days. If you up your fiber or take a fiber supplement, it should help balance out your bm. I used to take fiber and it helped but now I need miralax to help at all. Good luck. I hope it gets better.
