So my rheumatologist put me on gabapentin & correctly my vitamin deficiencies, since then I've also started using CBD oil... The cymbalta was no longer helping with the depression (which has also been a huge part on my struggle) so we switched to Trintellix (had some issues coming off one and onto an another so I had to let it run out if my system and I'm now trying again) ... I know this is an older post, but I was trying to find info on Trintellix. As for weight gain, it sucks, but it happens. It is the Gabapentin. Since it blocks and relaxes the nerves, it slows everything down. Metabolism, and everything else our body uses like intestines processing slowing down as well. Another problem for me is the insomnia and then I end up snacking.

I struggle at times with Depression & PTSD. I prefer not to take medication, but perform exercises, meditation, prayer, and talking with others. This is a choice that I made, and I’m happy with it, and it works for me.

To all of you out there my questions are why does it attack women more so then men?
Or are men to ashamed to reveal this everlasting pain?

Why are there so many symptoms?
Whats the comman trigger?
Is it hereditary?
Do children get it?
I want to know so much more. PLEASE HELP😎

I also have put on loads of weight and I never manage to loose any. I do seem to have stabilised though but I have gone from a U.K size 12/14 to 16/18.
